No time to blog!

The munchkins, Sophie and Charlie, have internet detectors...as soon as i attempt to update this blog one or both of them are at my side demanding something! Life as a mum ;-)

It is day 4 of week one of the 12 week body transformation and I am sold. I have been following the nutrition side of the program (by using Michelle Bridges' Crunchtime cookbook) for about 3 weeks now and have lost 5 kilos. The food is great and even hubby and the kids rate it.

I am loving the exercise...it is nice to have my own time at some stage of the day.

I even did RPM lastnight as Pump was cancelled for Ladies Day. Avoided the temptation of the day by working....fun fun.

This Saturday is the Kalgoorlie Cup...so I will be having a treat day rather than treat meal in a way! Going to Attck before the races to ease some of the guilt!!

12wbt Pre-season Tasks

Pre season tasks 1-6 are complete
  • Introduce yourself - I posted on lots of topics on the forum and have joined up with other Kalgoorlie gals
  • Get real - this was a bit of an eye opener....listed all my excuses, the main ones being that i am too tired and don't have time. For my health? GET REAL
  • Set your goals - my weight loss goal is to lose 15kilograms by Christmas, my fitness goals are to run 5km by week 4 of the program and to complete 10 chin ups in 12 months time.
  • Gear up - was lots of fun; new sneakers and a Heart rate monitor.
  • Say it out loud - a little scary, but have gained some great support and encouragement.
  • Kitchen makeover - i had less junk to throw out than i expected which was a bonus. Still have a few treats for hubby and the kids (James has super fast metabolism and can lose a couple of kilos a week during footy season if he doesn't keep up his calorie intake - grrr).

Today's task 'organise and diarise' shouldn't be too challenging - sticking to the plan may be ;-). I already use a fabulous weekly meal planner from kikki-k....it's the workouts...despite the inevitable 'crises' involving the children!

Feeling ready to start the transformation and am proud of my efforts regarding diet and exercise so far!

Taking time for me!

Hi, My name is Mel and this is my first ever post on my first ever blog...I feel a little nervous but here goes.

I am a 34 year old, happily married, mum of two. I have been inspired to write this blog by the wonderful 12 week body transformation crew who have shared their amazing journeys online. I hope to will also wow you with my incredible transformation over the next three months, and beyond.

I am not only going to lose weight but also change my lifestyle...for the good of my health and sanity and also for my family.
